Dog hydrotherapy in Los Angeles County

Underwater treadmills and therapy pools let dogs load their limbs at a fraction of body weight. It is the standard tool for early post-operative weight-bearing and for arthritic dogs who cannot tolerate land exercise.

What it involves

Water depth sets how much weight the dog carries; speed and duration progress week by week. Sessions are short, often ten to twenty minutes, and always supervised in the tank.

  • Water treatment and testing schedule they will show you
  • A handler in the tank or immediately at the rail, every session
  • Incision-healing rules before a post-op dog enters water
  • Insurance certificate on file for a facility taking custody of your dog
